Music Video Inspiration

Briefly covered in the previous post, when coming up with initial ideas to the style of our music video, our attentions were drawn to the two music videos discussed below. We wanted to take a closer look at the aspects we liked in these video's and believe will be ideal to use in our own video. Below are just a selection of screenshots from the chosen music video's just to give a basic example of the type of video and image we wish to portray.
.
In T.I's 'Dead and Gone' featuring Justin Timberlake, the music video s composed of two elements. Many of the camera shots are of the artists in a fixed location in the present day. the remainder of the footage are of flashbacks and images that amplify the lyrics and tell a story from the past. The flashbacks are sometimes momentarily frozen into pictures creating a more memorable, professional effect; drawing focus to particular aspects.
For our chosen song 'Fireworks', we think that the video should be centered around a narrative of the main artist without anyone else and the artist rapping in different locations. In our music video we hope to break our own footage down into present day and flashbacks. It is a possibility that we may use the picture freezing in 'Dead and Gone'.
The main focus point we want to incorporate from this music video is the overlayed effect. The video transforming into the different locational shots via the use of overlays. We believe this effect will go well with how our artist will be feeling emotionally during this video.
.
In the music video 'Emily's Heart' by Jamie T we see a child alone, walking in numerous locations, with the essence of some emotional confusion. Although the locations in this video do not correspond with our ideas, the concept of the artist being constanly on the move, doing some serious soul searching would go very well with our interpretation of our songs lyrics.
